About Dr. Rohan Patel

While Dr. Rohan Patel's UGA Bulldog spirit (Go Dawgs!) drives his pursuit of excellence, his heart is firmly planted here in North Carolina. His clinical foundation was built through pediatric residency training at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and a specialized fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

His background includes years of experience within several large academic and clinical institutions. Those roles allowed him to train the next generation of doctors and lead research on how technology can improve child health, but they also showed him how easily families can get lost in the gaps of a rigid system.

He chose to move away from those institutional "silos" to focus on improving access to care through a more direct, personalized model. Here, you aren't just another patient in a system; you are a family in the practice's community. Dr. Rohan Patel is dedicated to providing North Carolina families with a direct line to specialized expertise, delivered with the neighborly touch you deserve.

Payment Options

Education Student Accounts (ESA+) Scholarship

Education Student Accounts (ESA+) scholarship funds help North Carolina families pay for education and services for children with disabilities.
Families may use ESA+ funds for certain qualifying education expenses, such as educational therapy, tutoring and supplemental teaching services, and transportation to and from an educational activity—subject to review and approval by SEAA.
NeuroKids Developmental Pediatrics is an enrolled provider for the ESA+ scholarship and is approved to accept ESA+ scholarship funds.
Please be aware that not all services offered may meet the criteria for qualifying education expenses under the ESA+ scholarship. Prior to committing to a service, families are encouraged to reference ESA+ guidelines and contact ESA@ncseaa.edu for support.

Is the practice open to new patients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new patients with typical wait times of 2 to 3 weeks.

Do you help with school and IEP/504 planning?

Yes. We provide practical recommendations and advocacy guidance families can use with schools.

What insurance do you take?

We are not currently credentialed with insurance. Our services operate on a transparent direct-pay model so we can provide unhurried visits without arbitrary billing codes. We provide itemized superbills.

Do you offer therapy services?

We do not currently offer direct therapy services; however, if therapy (speech, OT, PT, or ABA) is indicated, we will actively help you navigate trusted local referrals.

Do you accept ESA+ scholarship funds?

Yes. Neurokids Developmental Pediatrics is an approved NC ESA+ provider enrolled to accept Education Student Accounts scholarship disbursements.
