About Dr. Patel

While Dr. Patel's UGA Bulldog spirit (Go Dawgs!) drives his pursuit of excellence, his heart is firmly planted here in North Carolina. His clinical foundation was built through pediatric residency training at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and a specialized fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

His background includes years of experience within several large academic and clinical institutions. Those roles allowed him to train the next generation of doctors and lead research on how technology can improve child health, but they also showed him how easily families can get lost in the gaps of a rigid system.

He chose to move away from those institutional "silos" to focus on improving access to care through a more direct, personalized model. Here, you aren't just another patient in a system; you are a family in the practice's community. Dr. Patel is dedicated to providing North Carolina families with a direct line to specialized expertise, delivered with the neighborly touch you deserve.

Is the practice open to new patients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new patients and also provide ongoing care as needed.

Do you help with school and IEP/504 planning?

Yes. We provide practical recommendations and guidance families can use with schools.

What insurance do you take?

To provide the personalized, high-quality care we strive for, we are not currently credentialed with insurance. Our services operate on a direct-pay model.

Do you offer therapy services?

We do not currently offer direct therapy services; however, if therapy is part of our recommended plan for your child, we will actively help you navigate referrals and connect you with the right resources.

I have therapists and professionals who have been supporting me and my child. Do you work with them?

Absolutely — we would love to collaborate with your existing team and fully recognize the expertise and dedication they bring to your child's care. One of our core goals is to support Parental Agency. At NeuroKids, we believe parents know their children best, and we are committed to empowering families to make informed decisions about their child's care.
